The glitzy round mirrors go home with 9 out of 10 visitors to Morrocco. They probably buy a few of them. We bought 7000 of them. we saw them everywhere, on the ceilings, the walls, the doors etc... The lights play with them in ways that are other worldly. The shop owner was very pleased to have such another worldly order. |

The mirror behind the bar near the fireplace is actually a door way of of an interior of a building. The face of the bar itself is actually a ceiling system taken from a house somewhere near Marakech. Somehow we say the use of these elements as abar ensemble. |

The giant scale of the fireplace with the palm leaf sconces is something that had no story really. The form and te materials are quite indicative of the materials and influences of North Africa. |

![]() | The swirl pair of sconces were originally designed as a pendant or chandelier. We sat with the Berber metal craftsman on the dirt floor of his shop in the Souk. No language, .. correction, Abdul Azak, our trusted guide and translator helped as much as he could to interpret my sketches and my thoughts replete with artistic nuance. It was something more than language and illustration that produced the peice. as it turns out, the piece was not needed, as a pendant that is. I was at a loss for a design for te back bar. |
